Privacy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

There are two parts to Dejo: the software you install, and this website, dejo.run. They handle data very differently, so this page covers each one.

The Dejo software

Dejo runs on your own computer. It sends nothing to us.

One optional setting changes where memory lives: with DEJO_MEMORY=sibyl, Dejo stores its memory in Sibyl's local database instead of its own file. It is off unless you turn it on.

This website

What we collect

When analytics are on, we use two tools to learn which pages help people and which don't:

They record things like the pages you open, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, your rough location (country or city, worked out from your IP address), and clicks on buttons such as "Copy". We do not record your screen or your sessions, and we do not collect your name or email.

Your choice

The first time you visit, a small box asks whether you allow analytics cookies.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the box appears again.

What we never do

Hosting

The website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) to run and protect the service.

Pages link to GitHub, PyPI and other sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Contact

Dejo is made by Rohit Kashyap. For any question about privacy, or to ask us to delete data about you, email rohitkashyapmrt@gmail.com.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
